Need a good reason to cash in your loose change? Consider donating all or part of it to a tax deductible and very worthy charity. On Friday, Dec. 18, TD Bank, 475 Port Washington Blvd., is holding a “Bring Change” event to benefit the Port Washington Senior Citizens Center.
From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the bank will match any donation up to $2,000 to the Senior Center made through its Penny Arcade coin counting machine. Donate the entire total of your coins deposited in the coin counting machine or a portion of it. All donations will receive a receipt from the Senior Center representative for tax deduction purposes. TD Bank will waive the coin transaction fee for those making donations to the Senior Center.
The “Bring Change” program enables TD Bank to give back to the communities in which they operate. The bank is holding this event nationwide. Their ultimate goal is to give back a total of $1 million
to more than 500 groups in need within their branches’ communities.
All donations raised go directly to the Port Washington Senior Center.
