As the fall sports season comes to an end, several athletes from The Wheatley School have won both county and conference honors.
The Nassau County Soccer Coaches Association honored Wheatley senior Pedro Lamarre with All-State status. This is the second time, Lamarre has won the award. He was also awarded the Mike Dillon Memorial Scholarship by the coaches association.
Also in soccer, Wheatley senior Adena Bernot was named All-County and All-Conference MVP. Most recently, she received the Sue Link Memorial Award at the Section VIII Soccer Dinner. Bernot also shared the Nassau County Top Scholar Athlete Award. The girls’ varsity soccer team received the League 3 Sportsmanship Award. In other news, Jessica Hastings was named an All-State volleyball player, while Allie Giordano was named a state qualifier in Cross-Country.
