Streetscape_122315AStreetscape_122315AState Senator Jack M. Martins, who represents the Roslyn area in Albany and State Legislator Rich Nicolello were in Albertson recently to view the progress of the community streetscape project along Willis Avenue. The project was made possible by state and county funding secured by Martins and Nicolello and developed in cooperation with the Albertson Square Civic Association. A new Albertson clock tower and “Welcome to Albertson” sign have already been installed at the north end of Willis Avenue near the Northern State Parkway. New benches, decorative banners, and trash receptacles were also placed along Willis Avenue. An additional “Welcome to Albertson” sign and community kiosk will also be installed on the southern portion of Willis Avenue.
