Selden Pedestrian Hit, Killed by Car

A 27-year-old Bay Shore man was fatally struck by a car in Selden early Monday morning.

Suffolk County police said Bernardo Benjamin Briones Bautista was walking in the right lane of Middle Country Road when he was hit by a westbound Nissan at 12:45 a.m.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was neither injured nor charged.

Sixth Squad detectives impounded the vehicle, are continuing the investigation and ask anyone who may have witnessed the crash to call them at 631-854-8652.
