Manhasset Pedestrian Hit, Killed

A 48-year-old Queens woman was killed and her 15-year-old daughter was injured when they were hit by a car while crossing a road in Manhasset on Tuesday evening.

Nassau County police said Jin Lin and the teen were crossing Northern Boulevard when they were hit by a westbound Hyundai Elantra west of Copley Road shortly after 7 p.m.

Jin was taken to North Well Hospital in Manhasset where she was pronounced dead. Her daughter was taken to a hospital, where she was treated for her injuries.

Homicide Squad detectives impounded the vehicle but the 76-year-old driver was not charged.
