If you like to sing, dance or act for a great cause while having a great time, come to CancerCare’s Red Stocking Revue Meet the Director night. Casting for vocalists and kickline will be held on Sunday, Jan. 31, at the Manhasset Bay Sportsmen’s Club.
Kickline auditions (9th grade or older) begin at 5 p.m.; vocalist auditions follow at 6:30 p.m. Vocalists need to bring their own sheet music, an accompanist will be provided.
This year’s theme, “The Tonight Show,” will feature performances by hosts through the decades and their guests. All shows will take place April 14-16 at 8 p.m. and April 17 at 2 p.m. in the Schreiber auditorium. Cast members must commit to performing in all four shows. The show will again be underwritten by the Peter & Jeri Dejana Family Foundation.
Starting Feb. 8, full cast rehearsals will take place every Monday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Port Washington Senior Citizens Center at 80 Manorhaven Blvd. Every Thursday starting Feb. 11, tap dance rehearsals are from 6 to 7 p.m. and 9 to 15-year-old children’s rehearsals are from 7 to 8 p.m. Children ages 5 to 15 are invited to join the cast and need not audition, but need to register no later than Feb. 15, either at a rehearsal or by contacting Vilma Jones (cubani tavj57@aol.com) or Barbara Faticone at 516-883-6693.
