Due to the historic snow fall totals, Manhasset Public Schools are closed. An district wide automated message given by Dr. Ambrosio was issued to all families enrolled at 6:48 p.m. Private, Parochial and Special Needs school transportation and ALL afternoon and evening activities will be cancelled.
Students, however, were aware of the fact before the public school announcement call went out to households because it was televised. Students notified their friends via Facebook, Snapchat and other social media hours before school notification and advised their parents accordingly.
Nearby school districts of Great Neck and Port Washington are also closed.
