Sewanhaka Students Succeed At Oratorical Contest

Sewanhaka High School juniors Shafaq Khan (left) and Alena Varghese participated in the 2015-16 American Legion Oratorical Contest.

The girls each created and memorized a 10-minute speech on Constitutional principles for the competition. They did a great job and have advanced to the second round, which will be held at Elmont American Legion Post 1033.
