Near Drowning At Thomaston Equinox

A 28-year-old woman was found unresponsive in the swimming pool of the Equinox gym at 90 E. Shore Rd. in Thomaston at 8:05 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 30, according to detectives from the Nassau County Police Department Third Squad.

When found by an employee, the drowning woman was unresponsive. It is unknown how long the victim had been in the Great Neck pool before she was discovered.

Nassau County Police Ambulance transported the victim to a local hospital, where she is listed in critical condition.
