Green Appointed To Nassau Community College Board

Port resident Linda Green was appointed to the Nassau Community College Board of Trustees.

“I am pleased to welcome Trustee Green to the board and I look forward to working with her. Her experiences in educational settings will certainly inform her actions in a positive way,” said Dr. Thomas Dolan, interim president of the college.Green012716A

A lifelong educator, Green comes to Nassau Community College with more than 45 years of experience on every level of education, from elementary school teacher to college professor. She is an adjunct professor in the graduate education division at New York City’s Touro College. Previously, Green served as the principal of The Lynn Gross Discovery School in Queens.

In addition to her educational experience, Green has been very active in community service. She was elected and served as the town clerk of the Town of North Hempstead. Green also sits on the Board of the Science Museum of Long Island and is a member and past president of Cancer Care of Manhasset and Port Washington. Green and her husband, Edward, reside in Port Washington.
