Ron Perrone and Shannon Burbage were the guest speakers at the Syosset-Woodbury Rotary Club, which meets weekly at Andrea’s 25 in Woodbury. Perrone and Burbage described Operation Jake (www.operationjake.org), a project of Bees WELL, Inc. This program addresses veterans who suffer from PTSD.
They are working with local elected officials to bring together the many organizations on Long Island that work to assist the veterans in re-entering society. Their goal is to streamline this process. Perrone is also a fellow Rotarian from the Ronkonkoma Rotary Club.
