The Westbury Senior Center, in coordination with Westbury High School, recently concluded its fifth successful “Tutoring Seniors” program. This class was designed by Westbury Senior Center member Diane Von Nooten, along with Ms. Renate Johnson, a teacher at Westbury High School. Principal Manny Arias and Executive Director Maureen Droge both agreed that a wonderful intergenerational bond took place when the senior citizens were paired with high school students to receive instruction on technical devices.
