The Village of Mineola officially observed Arbor Day Friday, April 29. The village board marked the occasion by holding an annual tree planting ceremony. This year’s tree planting was held at Memorial Park to augment the ongoing Memorial Park improvement project.
During the tree planting ceremony Mayor Scott Strauss noted that the Village of Mineola has been named a “Tree City USA” by the National Arbor Day Foundation for the 31st consecutive year.
