Fatal Accident In Roslyn

Homicide Squad detectives report the details of a fatal auto accident that occurred on Thursday, April 28, at 7 p.m. in Roslyn.

According to detectives, while heading southbound on Roslyn Road south of IU Willets Road in his 2013 GMC, the 90-year-old driver from Roslyn Heights was involved in a collision with a northbound 2007 Honda Motorcycle driven by a 28-year-old male from Elmhurst.

As a result of the collision the motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. His name is not being released at this time

Both vehicles were impounded for brake and safety checks.

The investigation into this non-criminal accident continues.
