Phillips Holds Community Converation

PhillipsState Senate candidate Elaine Phillips met with civic and elected leaders in the Village of Westbury recently, kicking off the first in a series of community conversations to identify needs of local communities and share ideas on ways to improve the quality of life and create more opportunity for Long Islanders. Phillips said she would be hosting additional community conversations with leaders and residents of communities across the 7th Senate District, a practice she said she will continue if she is elected to the senate. The meeting was co-hosted by Westbury Village Mayor Peter Cavallaro, and included representatives of the village, school board and community residents. Discussions ranged from the need for continued property tax relief for Nassau County residents and the future of local schools. Phillips currently serves as mayor of the Village of Flower Hill. She is running as the Republican, Conservative, Independence and Reform Party candidate for state senate.
