The Marine Bureau reports the details of a water rescue that occurred in Hempstead Harbor on Friday, Aug. 12, at 9:15 a.m.
According to police, Marine 3 responded to Hempstead Harbor for a jet ski taking on water with a 10-year-old girl aboard and a male, 55, in the water unable to get back on the jet ski. Police located the partially submerged jet ski and assisted the male out of the water and child aboard the boat.
