Bellerose Robbery

The Major Case Bureau of the Nassau County Police Department reports the details of a robbery which occurred on Tuesday, Aug. 16, at 8:29 p.m. in Bellerose.

According to robbery squad detectives, two male black suspects entered the Verizon store, located at 250-36 Jericho Tpke. through the front door. The first suspect, described as 5’ 8” tall wearing blue jeans, a black hooded shirt, black Adidas sneakers and gloves was armed with a silver handgun.

The second suspect, 5’ 11” tall with a stocky build, wearing camouflage shorts, a dark hooded shirt and gloves was carrying two large back packs. The suspects demanded both employees enter the rear storage area where they filled the bags with an undetermined amount of electronic merchandise. They fled on foot west on Jericho Turnpike. There were no customers in the store at time of the incident. No injuries were reported.

This robbery did not take place in Bellerose Terrace, as previously reported
