Two college-bound teenagers received $1,000 checks as part of an awards program at Kwon’s Martial Arts studio in Manhasset. Daniel Sultana and Bryan Morrissey, freshmen at Manhattan College and Boston University, respectively, were honored for being exceptional contributors to the studio’s Special Team of Role Models (STORM) program. “STORM participants have to be outstanding martial artists and excellent role models for younger students,” said Dae Keun Kwon, who owns the facility and is a master instructor there. “Danny and Bryan went above and beyond on all counts. We wish both of them the best as they move into this exciting new phase of their lives.” The STORM program was initiated two years ago and honors exceptional individuals who are about to enter college.
