Riverhead Man Charged With Firing Gun at Southside Hospital

A Riverhead man was arrested for firing a gun outside Southside Hospital in Bay Shore over the weekend, Suffolk County police said.

Third Precinct police officers who responded to a call of shots fired in a hospital parking lot on East Main Street arrested John Gamble, 35, who allegedly fired multiple rounds from a 9mm handgun at 5:50 a.m. Saturday, police said.

Gamble was charged with reckless endangerment. A Suffolk County judge ordered set his bail at $70,000 bond or $35,000 cash. He is due back in court Dec. 1.
