Beach season may seem far off, but the summer concert calendar at the recently renamed Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater is already getting booked with dozens of big names in music.
Although dates are still being filled before the seaside amphitheater’s seasonal reopening after Memorial Day weekend, Long Islanders eager to do a little concert-ticket window shopping can get a sneak peek at how the line-up is shaping up.
The first on the list is country rocker Jason Aldean on June 4. Acoustic rockers Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds play on June 6, hard rockers the Deftones and Rise Against join forces at the beach on June 13, alt-rockers Train return on June 14, and country rockers Florida Georgia Line perform on June 15. Rounding out the month of June are funk rockers Incubus with Jimmy Eat World on July 19, classic rockers Steve Miller Band and Peter Frampton on June 17, country rocker Dierks Bentley on June 23, alt-rockers Third Eye Blind with opening act Silversun Pickups on June 24, and German industrial band Rammstein on June 25.
Canadian pop rockers Nickleback kick off the following month of concerts at Jones Beach on July 1. Country rockers Lady Antebellum take the stage on July 14, Brit-rocker Rod Stewart and pop singer Cindi Lauper play the theater on July 18, classic rockers Foreigner and Cheap Trick return to the venue on July 20, British prog-rockers Muse and Thirty Seconds to Mars hit the beach on July 22, and jazz rockers Chicago and the Doobie Brothers perform on July 28.
Alt-rockers Kings of Leon launch the next month of shows at the theater when they take the stage on Aug. 1. Country rocker Brad Paisley performs on Aug. 3, country rocker Luke Bryan plays on Aug. 27, and English hard rockers Deep Purple and Alice Cooper appear on Aug. 28.
In the last month of the Jones Beach concert season, Sublime with Rome and The Offspring play the beach on Sept. 16.
