Commack Man Killed in Crash on LIE

A 52-year-old Commack man was killed when he crashed his SUV on the Long Island Expressway in Brentwood over the weekend.

Suffolk County police said Scott Henbest was driving a Dodge Durango eastbound on the LIE when his vehicle veered off the roadway into trees on the right side of the road just west of Exit 55 at 11:55 a.m. Sunday.

The victim was taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore, where he was pronounced dead.

Fourth Squad detectives impounded the truck, are continuing the investigation and ask anyone with information on the crash to call them at 631-854-8452.
