Islandia Crash Leaves Driver Dead

A 46-year-old Central Islip man was killed in a car crash in Islandia on Tuesday morning.

Suffolk County police said Charles T. Peters was driving a Nissan Altima eastbound on East Suffolk Avenue when he lost control of the car, struck a parked vehicle and the Altima overturned at the corner of Old Suffolk Avenue at 7:10 a.m.

The victim was taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore, where he was pronounced dead.

Fourth Squad detectives are continuing the investigation and ask anyone with information on this crash to call them at 631-854-8452.
