Scores of supporters reveled at a New Year’s client appreciation networking party hosted by the Long Island Press and Schneps Communications Events on Thursday, Jan. 11 at Simplay in Hauppauge.

Attendees, who included past event honorees, mingled and noshed on complimentary food courtesy of the Sexy Salad, and cocktails and engaged in some friendly competition at Long Island’s only multi-sport simulator facility.

Special thanks to sponsors Simplay co-owners Chuck Merritt and Chris Wyllie; John Robertson, owner of The Sexy Salad; Manda Kalimian of the CANA Foundation; and Adam Schwam of Sandwire; plus T-Mobile.

The event comes as Schneps Communications celebrates the acquisition of Noticia and the people who have built it the past 26 years, including Publisher Silvana Diaz, her sister, Theresa, and mother, Vicky. The Spanish-language publication joins El Correo of NY, Schneps’ Spanish-language publication covering Queens, Brooklyn, the Bronx and Manhattan.

“This will offer a regional buy for clients who want to reach the Hispanic/Latino audience in New York City and Long Island and will bring quality news to the Spanish-speaking communities of our region,” said Victoria Schneps-Yunis, president of Schneps Communications. “And events like these bring together all our friends for unprecedented networking.”
