The Music Man Jr. Thrills Audiences

There was big trouble in River City, Iowa, this past weekend as the performing arts students of Saint Mary’s Elementary School took to the stage in the Immaculata Hall Auditorium with their spectacular production of The Music Man Jr.

With three packed shows, students from fifth through eighth grade thrilled their audiences with performances to remember; in turn, students received standing ovations. Cameo appearances by four members of the St. Mary’s High School Performing Arts Department added another layer of entertainment at its best with the bold and brassy show. With a multi-talented cast and crew, this adaption of the Tony Award-winning Broadway classic charmed all ages under the direction of Andrew J. Koslosky of The Josephine Foundation and director of the Performing Arts Program at The Schools of Saint Mary.

Up next at St. Mary’s will be Rodgers and Hammerstein’s South Pacific for the high school’s spring production, scheduled for the weekend of April 27-29.
