I would like to enthusiastically support Pat Aitken for re election to the Manhasset Board of Education. I have been involved in Manhasset Schools since 2011, first serving on the Citizens Advisory Committee Finance for three years and most recently as Treasurer of the Booster Club for the past four years.
I have one child who will be a senior next year and another that graduated in 2019, both of who started in Manhasset Schools in Kindergarten, during this time, Pat has been a fierce advocate for our students while being a conscientious steward of our tax dollars. Pat and the Board have consistently delivered budgets within the New York State tax cap, while managing significantly expanded enrollment and providing best in country performance as Manhasset Schools are consistently rated within the top 100 schools in the United States. Pat’s 15 years of experience navigating the budget and funding process are a critical and invaluable advantage for our community as we head into a period of potentially significant fiscal distress at the State level.
Pat has been a tireless and committed member of the Board throughout her tenure, always makes herself available to answer parent questions and is the leader we need right now to navigate these unprecedented times.
