The Homicide Squad reports the details of a fire that occurred on May 6 at 5:35 a.m. in Garden City.
According to detectives, Garden City Police officers responded to a Washington Avenue residence for a call of a house fire. Upon arrival officers observed the residence fully engulfed in flames. The GCFD responded along with eight other fire departments to extinguish the fire. As a result of the fire there were three fatalities, a 62-year-old male, 60-year-old female and a 18-year-old female. There were approximately 11 fire apparatus and 50 fire personnel at the scene. The Arson Bomb squad responded along with the Nassau County Fire Marshall.
