Adoption Groot
Groot is a dog in urgent need of adoption at Must Love Dogs.

Urgent Request: 6-year-old Groot is a big boy who’s a big love. He was found wandering the streets of Brooklyn and has been in the ACC for over a month which means his time is up soon. With his big floppy jowls, cute bear-like face, and at nearly 120 pounds, Groot has certainly made an impression on staff and volunteers alike! Once he got comfortable, he revealed his big love-bug side…enjoying pets, back scratches, and cheek rubs, and even resting his giant head on the lap of another volunteer as she scratched his head. Groot knows lots of commands, can sort of play fetch, and pulls on his leash so his adopter must be prepared to handle a dog of this size and strength. He’s also highly treat-motivated, so any behavior issues can be addressed using fear-free, positive -reinforcement training.

If you can save this giant love bug, please send an urgent message to mldsavingnycdogs@gmail.com

Adoption Zenaya
Zendaya

Zendaya is a two-year-old gal described as an absolutely purrfect companion! She is a gentle, playful and affectionate sweetheart who enjoys spending time with people. Zendaya is positive for Feline Leukemia, which means she should be the only pet in the home or should live with other Leukemia positive cats or cats that are vaccinated for it. A Leukemia positive cat will have a shorter life expectancy, so Zendaya needs a special home that will shower her with love for every minute she has. It may require a bit of extra effort to make it work with Zendaya, but the friendship and love that you will get back is absolutely worth it.

For more information about this special lady, please call the Smithtown Animal Shelter at 631-360-7575.
