Clark and Eddie make up a rather handsome pair of boys estimated to be around four years young.  They were found wandering together by a good Samaritan. While they do enjoy each other’s company, they are not bonded and if the right homes were found for Clark & Eddie, the shelter would consider separate adoptions. Both boys are nervous dogs and will need slow introductions to new animals. They love all people.

Clark is a bit more of a needy pup, wanting someone around most of the time, as he gets nervous to be on his own. Eddie is more adjusted to having his alone time. Both boys are incredibly sweet and affectionate.

Adoption Zen

*Double Adoption* Bonded seven-month-old brothers Zen and Remi have a lot of concerns about life on the inside after being locally rescued from the great outdoors. The more time they spend being pampered indoors by gentle, loving humans, the more they’re going to be won over by a pawsitive shift in their lifestyle. A cat-experienced home with older children old will set them up for a happy, successful life.

When Animal League America’s sister shelter in Glen Falls alerted them to a lovely lady in need, their vets got right to work to make Sarah feel fit and ready for a worthy home. Four-year-old Sarah received lifesaving treatment for her dermatitis as part of their Help Me Heal program. She’s made a phenomenal recovery and is ready to be pampered by her new family.

Adoption

Ernest learned quickly that treats were waiting for him outside the safety of his cubby. While Shackleton needs a little more purrsuation than his brother to feel completely safe in a new environment.

True to her namesake, Rosie is riveting! Rosie came to the shelter as a stray in July 2023. Her heavenly eyes and cropped ears couldn’t tell her full story, so Rosie’s history remains a mystery. Rosie adores every person she meets, is exceptionally sweet, snuggly & incredibly smart. Rosie is estimated at little over 3-years-old and absolutely loves long walks, hikes, running and playing in the agility yards. Rosie should be your one-and-only and no dog parks for this lady but can live with children 13 and up in a home. The kennels have been hard for Rosie lately and while staff and volunteers are providing extra enrichment, multiple walks & play time daily, Rosie needs a home to thrive.

Adoption

Marshall arrived as a stray at the shelter in June 2023, suffering severe double ear infections, which negatively impacted his comfort and quality of life. The shelter provided a total ear canal ablation surgery which successfully alleviated Marshall’s discomfort. Now he is finally able to enjoy the playful, active lifestyle he deserves. At the shelter, Marshall loves hikes with volunteers, playing fetch and tug and showing off his wonder-dog skills in playgroups! Marshall is estimated to be about 2-years-old and would make the perfect walking, jogging, or hiking buddy. It’s recommended that Marshall’s new family be familiar with young, moderate to high energy dogs, any children in the home be 16 and up, and require a meet and greet with any resident dog.

Two-year-old Harley Quinn was rescued from the ACC earlier this year. Unfortunately, her fosters decided to take her back to the animal care centers of Manhattan, where she was awaiting euthanasia. Thankfully she was pulled just in time, because she truly is an amazing dog and loves humans. She would do best with no dogs, cats or kids under 16 since she has lots of energy and loves to play.

Adoption

Sweetie pie Clover is the perfect companion-she loves to snuggle with her humans, even better outside in the afternoon sunshine! This 3-year-old gal would love to be the only pet so she can get all the attention as she loves to be the first hug as you go through the door.

Adoption Gucci

Gorgeous Gucci is brindle girl with lots of love to share. Playing with her toys near you while you’re working or relaxing is her favorite thing to do. She also enjoys curling up next to you on the sofa for a nap, or with her head against your foot as you work on the computer. This 4-year-old obviously likes a calm life and being right by your side, and she would do well in a home where someone can spend quality time with her.

Adoption

Cap’n Crackers was saved from the euthanasia list at the NYACC after being brought in with a head injury and a URI. This poor baby had all the reason to keep to himself, but he loves love! At only 3-years-old, Cap’n has made an amazing recovery in foster and continues to say thank you with cuddles.

Adoption

It’s funny how Little is the BIGGEST love bug. At only 7-months-old she is super affectionate to both people and other cats, showering them in cuddles. Little would love a home with a sibling to play with.

Adoption

7-month-old Louie was brought in with her his sister after being trapped by a volunteer. He loves exploring the cat room and finding new toys to play with. They can be adopted separately or together, but who wouldn’t love a friend?
