Available for adoption at North Shore Animal League America

Adoption Paniolo

Five-month-old Paniolo heard about adventures awaiting him on the mainland, and gladly hopped on a flight from Hawaii to check out Bianca’s Furry Friends. Animal League America greeted him with a great big welcome, and he in return proved what a charming little rascal he is! Get ready for an enthusiastic greeting that’ll lead him to his next and greatest adventure – a car ride home with you.

Adoption Yuzu

You’d never know three-month-old Yuzu was part of a pile of scaredy kittens when he first arrived with his rescuer. As another hero stepped in to foster fear out of this tiny tot. Yuzu is the “boldest” of his clowder, he still finds a lot of comfort from the company of other cats. Older children are best for Yuzu as he wants to show you all that he’s learned about being a very good boy!

Adoption Genevieve

*Senior Alert* Meet the lovely Genevieve, a gentle 10-year-old cat with a heart full of gratitude! Despite a challenging past, she now cherishes the safety of Bianca’s Furry Friends as her safe haven. A lucky family is going to get considerable daily doses of gratitude for giving her a happy home beyond her imagination. In return she’ll be heaping double doses of thank you’ s for being her hero. Genevieve is 100% perfect, so if your heart is ready for a senior, she is ready for her new beginning with you.

Adoption Mittens

When Mittens lost her lifelong home due to a family member with severe allergies, she needed a safe place to land. Animal League America is working to restore her hope that a new family is out there for her. This bewildered tabby would love to be the only pet your home to soothe her into family life.

Adoption Chanel

*Double Adoption* Bonded pair, Chanel and Dior know what’s trending in fashion for cats this season. While they may need a little time and patience before enjoying the catwalk, the payoff is getting to pet their velvety soft fur! While Dior is already flouncing his way into the hearts of every visitor, Chanel takes a more dignified approach in meeting new people. An experienced household with older children will lead to a fashionable future.

Adoption Flint

*Double Adoption* Six-month-olds Flint and Kettle are a very resourceful set of brothers, up for every challenge and adventure set before them. Arriving together from their overcrowded southern shelter, these tiny charmers have bounced from one setting to the next with the enthusiasm that only a pair of bonded besties could show you.

Adoption Yin

*Double Adoption and Senior Alert* As part of Animal League America’s Help Me Heal program, nine-year-old Yin received surgery to remove his injured leg, freeing him of the pain he’d endured. Vets have created a successful plan to aid ten-year-old Yang with his heart condition and chronic kidney disease. Yang is also deaf which doesn’t prevent him from asking you about your day or telling you about his. We’ll be there to support Yin and Yang through our Pet Health Centers for the rest of their lives.

Sweet Salem was rescued as a kitten with his siblings, and while he was definitely more reserved at first, now he loves to play with his friends and toys! He is about 1-year-old and ready for his forever home.

Adoption Queenie

Queenie is a gorgeous 3-year-old girl saved from the euthanasia list in NYC earlier this year. She has been nothing but the biggest love bug since coming to Lend-a-Paw! She is slowly but surely making feline friends but as her name states, she is the queen bee and would do best around cats and people who understand when she just needs some beauty sleep.

Adoption Laurel

At such a young age, Laurel was the victim of a hit and run where he suffered a severed tail on the streets of Laurelton. This made him very fearful and so it takes him some time to trust people. But according to volunteers, he now plops at your feet and demands belly rubs! Laurel also loves nurturing other cats and would love a home with other feline friends. He is about 3 years old and waiting for you to open your heart and home to him.

Adoption Slim

6-year-old Slim’s journey took a fortunate turn when he was saved from the euthanasia list in Manhattan. Now, this sweet and soulful dog is seeking his forever home or a loving foster environment. Slim’s heart is full of love, and he’s in need of a compassionate family willing to help him overcome some challenges.

Adoption Diamond

Diamond is a resilient and sweet-natured pup who has triumphed over adversity. Rescued from the brink of euthanasia earlier this year, she is looking for a calm and loving foster home where she can enjoy a relaxed and happy life. Diamond’s energy level is on the lower side due to her medical history, and at 2-years-old whe would thrive with someone who is retired or spends a lot of time at home, seeking a loyal and loving canine companion.

Adoption Ginger

Ginger is about 3 years old, 45-50lbs, and looking for a new home. This gorgeous gal is very playful with humans and other dogs and loves to receive lots of attention and belly rubs. She is potty trained and as smart as they come!

Adoption Paris

Paris is a gorgeous swirl coat tabby who is a bit of a princess. Her middle name is France because she’s so fancy! She’ll sit on your lap and enjoy being held to get all the attention. Grooming is one of her favorite things, second to caring for the other foster kittens in the home.

Adoption Kole

Looking for a black panther? Kole is not only handsome but lots of fun. He is curious and playful and likes to burn off his energy with feathery wand toys. Kole loves all cat toys and is seen playing with them until he gets tired. Kole is looking for a fun loving home.

Adoption Chops

Chops is a young German Shepard, estimated to be about 1 ½ – 2 years old. Chops came to the shelter with a tough start to life but staff and volunteers could not be happier with his progress, working through his trust issues together with staff and his trainers. The team has found that once an individual earns Chops’ trust, he is a very good boy who is eager to please and loaded with lots of love to give. He is a highly intelligent gentleman who loves to learn and play. This special guy needs a very specific home; one who will continue his training, manage introductions to new people and teach him that his rough beginning to life is in the rear view mirror. Chops will require an experienced home, with working breed dogs and with training. He needs to be the only pet in an adult only home.

If you are interested in meeting Chops visit www. TownofSmithtownAnimalShelter.com, call 631-360-7575 or fill out an application at https://www.townofsmithtownanimalshelter.com/applications
