U.S Rep Tom Suozzi defeats Republican Mike LiPetri in Congressional District 3

U.S Rep Tom Suozzi declared victory against Republican Mike LiPetri in the 3rd Congressional District, gaining a full-term after winning a special election following Rep. George Santos’ resignation.

The state Board of Elections showed Suozzi defeated LiPetri by 176,858 to 167,980 – less than 3 percentage points.

Suozzi was joined by former Hempstead Supervisor Laura Gillen, who declared victory against U.S. Rep Anthony D’Esposito  in the 4th Congressional District.
