Students travel in time to colonial New Netherlands

Fourth graders at Manorhaven Elementary School brought their studies of New Netherlands to life on Feb. 13 at the Colonial Fair. Each student studied a colonial trade—blacksmiths, bakers, milliners, carpenters, and more—building detailed dioramas to showcase their work. They’ve also written letters home, just like real colonists, sharing what life was like in their time.
