Temple Beth-El offers gift memberships and a Super September

Temple Beth-El is launching Super September, which includes a diverse array of programs and events open to temple members and non-members.

As the High Holidays approach, Temple Beth-El of Great Neck presents Super September. In addition to a plethora of exciting events, community members are welcome to experience the beauty, warmth and meaning of this special time.

Whether you’re new to the congregation, exploring your Jewish path or returning after time away, this is the perfect moment to connect. All are invited for uplifting services, inspiring music and a welcoming community where everyone truly belongs—and gift memberships, including High Holidays tickets, make it easy for everyone to start their journey.

Super September kicks off with Tuesday Night Symposium: The History of Antisemitism.

Rabbi A. Brian Stoller will explore “the world’s oldest hatred” from antiquity to the present during 13 sessions that run through December from 7-8:30 p.m.

Join Sisterhood and religious school parents for Books, Bites & Brilliant Conversation, as “Black & White” by Dani Shapiro is discussed on Thursday, Sept. 11, from 7:30-9:30 p.m. Sign up for this free, in-person event by emailing sblubert@gmail.com.

Learn how to help the younger generation navigate challenges and become capable adults during a free College Connect program with guest speaker Dr. Betsy Stone on Sunday, Sept. 14, from 4-6 p.m. The community is welcome, but registration is required at tinyurl.com/TBESept14.

Spread some sweetness before the New Year by volunteering to pack or deliver treats to community members older than 80 during High Holidays Honey Hugs on Monday, Sept. 15, from 10-11:30 a.m. The event is free, but registration is required at tinyurl.com/TBEHoney.

Art enthusiasts will be fascinated by Gold Coast Arts Presents—Hidden Treasures: A Tour of Temple Beth-El’s Arts and Judaica Collection led by Regina Gil on Wednesday, Sept. 17, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The cost for Temple Beth-El and Gold Coast members is $20; $30 for not-yet members and includes a light lunch. Space is limited and registration is required at tinyurl.com/TBESept17.

Enjoy an evening of hands-on preparation and heartfelt connection as we get ready for the High Holidays and reflect on renewal, hope and sweetness in the year ahead with a Pre-Rosh Hashanah Challah Bake on Thursday, Sept. 18, from 6:45-9 p.m.
