Attending neurosurgeon and NSPC CEO Dr. Michael H. Brisman will provide an update about new treatment options for trigeminal neuralgia and other facial pain conditions. Information about patient support resources from the Facial Pain Association will be available along with refreshments and light lunch.
Trigeminal Neuralgia Awareness Day is a part of a month-long, national campaign organized by the Facial Pain Association, a Georgia-based nonprofit, called “October is Facial Pain Awareness Month.” The association’s mission is to educate patients and caregivers about new methods to diagnose, manage and treat trigeminal neuralgia and other facial pain conditions.
“I have a passion for helping adult patients find innovative and individualized solutions to treat complex facial pain conditions,” Brisman said, “especially when it comes to TN.”
Brisman has successfully treated thousands of patients with trigeminal neuralgia and other facial pain conditions using the latest, minimally invasive techniques, including radiosurgery. He is the co-medical director of the Gamma Knife Center at Mount Sinai South Nassau in Oceanside.
