Mineola High School’s Virtual Enterprise program achieved national recognition, placing in the top 10% of approximately 200 entries in the Virtual Enterprise USA National Company Branding Competition. Mineola’s Virtual Enterprise firm, Anchor Advisory, provides consulting services dedicated to keeping struggling businesses and startups afloat.

Through innovative strategy, marketing analysis and business model development, students operate the firm as a fully simulated company, gaining hands-on experience in entrepreneurship, branding and client services. The national competition challenges students to develop a comprehensive branding suite that is distinctive, mission-driven and consistent across multiple platforms.

Student teams are evaluated on the versatility, creativity and professionalism of their business materials – including logo design, promotional items and overall brand cohesion – as well as how effectively those materials perform in real-world applications.

The Anchor Advisory marketing team demonstrated exceptional creativity, strategic thinking and professionalism throughout the process. Their achievement reflects not only their hard work and dedication, but also the strength of experiential learning opportunities available within the district’s business programs.

“This recognition is a testament to our students’ commitment to excellence and the power of providing authentic, real-world business experiences,” said Sarah Mannino, business teacher at Mineola High School. “I am incredibly proud of their accomplishments and grateful to be part of a community that supports innovative learning.”

Mineola School District remains committed to expanding hands-on, career- connected programs that prepare students with the skills and confidence needed for future success.
