In recognition of Women’s History Month, Oyster Bay town supervisor and his colleagues on the town board honored Pastor Debra Valentin Spagnoletti, associate pastor at Full Gospel Church of Island Park.
Valentin Spagnoletti is also an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God, an adjunct professor at Lancaster Bible College and is the founder of Women of Worth, a parachurch ministry committed to uplifting the least, the last and the lost in our communities.
“Pastor Debra’s ministry shines as a beacon of hope for those who feel forgotten,” Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino said. “Through her tireless efforts to uplift women, as well as fighting human trafficking, she is restoring dignity, freedom and faith to countless lives across Long Island.”
Valentin Spagnoletti is an advocate with the Church and Community Abolition Network, which partners with schools, businesses, organizations and community members across Long Island to strengthen awareness, detection and prevention of human trafficking. Through her collaborative efforts and along with her fellow advocates, law enforcement and community partners, more than 300 missing & exploited children have already been recovered in the U.S. in 2026, and 9,089 have been recovered since 2021.
“Our communities are stronger and safer because of leaders like Pastor Debra- someone who serves not for recognition, but for the chance to uplift and protect the most vulnerable among us,” Council Member Laura Maier said.
