I enjoyed the photos published on Feb. 24 of Port Washington during and after the winter blizzard and wanted to take this opportunity to thank the community for their help this winter.
The article by Larissa Fuentes with photos by Roy Schneider captured the beauty perfectly. However, beautiful as it was, it presented challenges to our delivery operations. We can’t thank Port Washington residents enough for all their efforts in clearing a path for us and supporting us during this historic winter.
We are now celebrating spring with our Sunflowers Forever stamps. The stamps, issued on March 14, honor these majestic flowers beloved by wildlife and customers alike.
Locally, in Port Washington, we are gearing up for spring with a passport fair in mid-April for travelers to get a jump start on renewing or applying for a passport. More information is available at the Post Office located at 1051 Port Washington Blvd. Customers can begin by downloading the passport application at www.travel.state.gov.
As the nation nears its 250th anniversary, the Postal Service remains proud to carry forward a public service mission that has helped connect the country since its earliest days.
We hope that the stamps of 2026 bring joy to the community and connect us together as we enjoy the simpler pleasures in life – whether that’s the beginning of warmer weather or receiving a letter from a loved one.
We look forward to serving you at the Port Washington Post Office.
