Medford Man Killed in SUV Crash

A 22-year-old man was killed when he crashed his SUV in his hometown of Medford early Monday morning.

Suffolk County police said Devin Velastegui was driving a Chevrolet Trailblazer westbound on Express Drive North when he lost control of the truck, which overturned several times and ejected the driver just west of Route 112 at 4:48 a.m.

Velastegui was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly later.

Sixth Squad detectives are continuing the investigation and ask anyone with information on this crash to call them at 631-854-8652.
