“She studied at a University in Tokyo, started her own company that recruits physicians to under-served areas in the country. She’s been a military physician for the Native Americans in Oklahoma; served as medical director of an inner city emergency room in Texas; helped set up medical units after Hurricane Katrina and Superstorm Sandy, became a health issues columnist for a weekly paper and still serves as a television personality for a medical show on CBS. She did much of this while caring for her mother who had Alzheimer’s and then went on to speak, nationally, on the issue after her mother passed.”
