Parade/Festival Postponed

The East Hills Independence Day Parade & Festival originally scheduled for July 4 has been postponed to July 5 due to expected bad weather.

“With reports showing both Thursday and Friday wet and rainy days, we are changing the July 4th Fireworks Show to Saturday, July 5th,” the Village posted on its website. “All other events which are planned for July 4th are also now on Saturday, July 5, 2014.”

The dinner on the Great Lawn will now be available Saturday from 5:30 p.m., with a live band and DJ.

The fireworks display is now planned for Saturday at 9:15 p.m. The Kids in the Park Parade & Festival will also be held on Saturday, July 5th, from 10 a.m. to noon.
