Norma Skelton Blunt, a former resident of Port Washington, died on January 17, 2013, in La Jolla, California, where she had resided for ten years. She was 94. Norma was the wife of Albert C. “Bud” Blunt, III, who died in 1989. Norma and Bud, who was the President of the Port Washington Board of Education in the mid 1960’s, raised three sons in the community, and is survived by Albert C. “Chip” Blunt, IV, of Ft. Myers, Florida, Kenneth J. Blunt, M.D.(Elizabeth “Betty” Blunt nee Thornberry) of La Jolla, California, and Richard S. Blunt, of Tampa, Florida, three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Norma and Bud moved to Hanover, Pennsylvania in 1968, and upon Bud’s retirement from the shoe business in 1982, they moved to the family homestead in East Falmouth, Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Both Norma and Bud are buried in the Newton Cemetery in Newton, Massachusetts, where they were both born and raised.
