Christine J. Cutting
Christine J. Cutting (“Chris”), 72, passed peacefully surrounded by family members, on Tuesday, April 21 in Manhasset, N.Y. A resident of Port Washington, and born in Flushing, N.Y., Christine retired as the Principal of Valley Stream South High School in 1998, where she taught science, rising to the Department Head of Science. Christine was also President of the Board of Directors of 1Toms Point Lane Corporation, and a cherished member of the congregation of St. Stephens Church in Port Washington, where she served with distinction in multiple leadership roles on the vestry. She was the first woman admitted to the Valley Stream Rotary and served as its first woman President. She lives in the loving memories of her brother Richard Cutting, her nephew Raymond Cutting and sister-in-law Elizabeth Cutting. A public memorial for Christine will be held on Saturday, May 2 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Stephens Church, 9 Carlton Avenue, Port Washington.
