The Manhasset SCA expresses great appreciation to the families and businesses who have helped make this year’s SCA Fair Grand Raffle one of the most exciting ever. This year’s Grand Prize for the SCA Fair raffle is a fantastic four-night vacation to Beaches Turks and Caicos, which includes airfare for two adults and two children, and is graciously donated by Amy Ziesel of Coral Reef Travel.  The SCA will continue to benefit from Coral Reef’s generosity by donating  2 percent of every vacation booked by an SCA family through 2016 to the Manhasset SCA.Coral Reef Travel is located at 331 Plandome Rd. Other amazing  raffle prizes include: an 18 kg, and 0.10 ct Diamond Reversible Pendant from Charles Krypell Sterling Silver (coming soon to Greenvale); Legal services by Gina Plansker, Attorney at Law, including preparation and execution of Estate Plan Package for husband and wife,  simple wills for husband and wife, health care proxies, living wills, power of attorneys or property tax reduction for 2017-18; an H on the Harbor Summer Bar-B-Q Dinner for 12 to 18 adults; an Americana Manhasset gift $1,000 certificate and more.
The proceeds of the SCA Fair, which is run entirely by volunteers from Manhasset, are the main source of funding for the organization. The SCA spends its funds on students and provides cultural experiences not generally found within the standard curriculum by providing student assistance and incentives for higher educational needs. The SCA offers a variety of programs to enrich the educational and social life of Manhasset’s children including: enrichment programs, Speaker’s Bureau, Saturday Series, Children’s Theater, Halloween parties, book fairs, homecoming dances, summer studies, educational grants, eco-friendly initiatives, nutrition and wellness and gifts to Manhasset schools, including interactive white boards, computers on wheels, maps, a telescope and much more.
The SCA’s purpose is to promote closer cooperation between teachers and parents, school and community, and to further the best interests of and highest advantages in physical, mental, social and ethical education of Manhasset’s young people.
Tickets for the Grand Raffle will be sold during advanced ticket sales. Purchase raffle tickets at Raindew from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22, Saturday, April 25, and Wednesday, April 29. Grand raffle tickets will be sold at the fair Grand Raffle Booth near the big tent.
