Patrick W. O’Rourke of Palmyra, VA, formerly of Oyster Bay, passed away on Jan. 2, 2015. He was born May 4,1940. He leaves behind his beloved wife Doreen (nee Gordon) and four children, Leslie Thomson (Gary), Patrick O’Rourke (Glen), Lynda Siegel and Patricia Regina (Joey). Also four grandchildren: Taylor, Danielle, Kristen, Micheal and two great-grandchildren, Bridgette and Alanna.
After Paddy retired, he moved from Oyster Bay to Lake Monticello, 11 years ago. He loved fishing, was a registered skeet shooter and member of the Mill River Rod and Gun Club in Bayville. Paddy became a member of Rivanna Gun Club in Charlottesville after moving to Virginia. Paddy was also active in a lot of committees, especially the Wild Life committee at Lake Monticello. He also taught the Hunter Safety Courses in Fluvanna County. Most of all Paddy loved being with his family.
