Rooftop Fire Secured

Floral Park’s Hook & Ladder was alerted to respond to an automatic fire alarm at Pita Park, 155 Tulip Ave. at approximately 1:37 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 12. The first arriving chief immediately transmitted a “signal 10,” for a working fire on the roof of the location. A second alarm was transmitted shortly after, and the fire was brought under control within an hour. No injuries were reported.
