Floral Park’s Hook & Ladder was alerted to respond to an automatic fire alarm at Pita Park, 155 Tulip Ave. at approximately 1:37 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 12. The first arriving chief immediately transmitted a “signal 10,” for a working fire on the roof of the location. A second alarm was transmitted shortly after, and the fire was brought under control within an hour. No injuries were reported.
Pita Park posted an announcement on Facebook the following morning stating “due to water damage we will be temporarily closed for renovations.”
