Senior Michael Coffey’s decorated playing career for the Adelphi University men’s basketball team may have recently come to an end, but the senior guard picked up a postseason honor from the Northeast-10 Conference on Monday as an All-Conference Honorable Mention selection.

Last year as a junior, the guard set a new program record for single-season scoring, with 647 points, and averaged double figures in each of his four years.
Hailing from Monroe, NY, Coffey holds a 3.79 GPA in accounting in the classroom. This season, Coffey ranks 11th in the NE10 in points per game (15.6) and in the league’s Top 10 in free throw percentage, total points, and free throws made.
In his career to date, Coffey has scored 1,808 points, ranking him third in Adelphi history
Upon graduation this spring, Coffey has plans to remain at Adelphi to complete a five-year master’s program, which will earn him a master’s in accounting with a concentration in finance. An NE10 All-Conference Third Team selection as a junior, Coffey was also selected to the All-Rookie Team as a freshman.
