Sixth Squad detectives report the details of a serious auto accident that occurred on July 23, at 3 p.m. in Manhasset.
According to detectives, while traveling eastbound on Vanderbilt Avenue near Plandome Road in his 2005 Honda Accord, the 65 year old male operator suffered a medical emergency and struck two unoccupied parked vehicles. As a result of the collision the parked vehicles continued on and struck a nearby building. Upon police arrival the unconscious male was transported to an area hospital where he is listed in serious condition. No other injuries were reported.
