Westbury Arts, in celebration of Asian American, Pacific Islander Heritage Month, opened its current exhibition of original works by artists representative of the Pan-Asian Community with a reception for artists, family and friends.

The exhibition was organized around the theme “That was then, this is now.”  Those attending were treated to a wonderful performance of the Lion Dance by the children from the Greater Roslyn Association for Chinese Enrichment (GRACE).

The public is invited to view this inspiring art exhibition. Among the notable works on display are Jane Kim Suzuki’s monumental “Under the Sea” series, Dae–von Byron’s digital art, which often transform complex emotions that are difficult to put into words, into colors and Tariq Julfiker’s “Realization and Imagination of Nirvana.” And much, much, more.

The Westbury Arts gallery, at 255 Schrenk Ave., Westbury, is open on Thursdays from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., on Fridays from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
