Join the Great Neck Library for an afternoon of music at the Parkville Branch Library at 10 Campbell St., New Hyde Park, NY 11040, on Sunday, Sept. 14, at 2 p.m.
A cambiata is a musical ornament – a changing note. Suzanne Mueller has been performing as half of collaborations under the Cambiata Cello Duo name for over a decade. This iteration – a partnership with Paul Lawrence Finkelstein – was formed in 2022 and made its debut at Old Westbury Gardens in July of that year.
Their programs feature solos and duets spanning centuries, continents and styles, from Bach and Beethoven through tangos, Catalan works, and American composer Aaron Minsky’s “Way Out West.” The performers will discuss the composers and works, adding to the audience’s connection to them.
Registration is required. Great Neck cardholders and residents can register online, in person or via phone. Non-residents are welcome as walk-ins, as space allows.
