Legislator Samantha Goetz is a proud North Shore resident, working mother, and experienced attorney who has dedicated her career to protecting families, taxpayers, and the suburban quality of life that makes Nassau County special.
The daughter of a Cuban immigrant mother who came to America seeking freedom and an NYPD detective father, Samantha learned the values of hard work, service, and standing up for what’s right.
A proud graduate of St. Dominic’s High School, Binghamton University, and New York Law School, Samantha brings both professional expertise and personal commitment to her role in county government.
She’s working side by side with Town Supervisor Joe Saladino and County Executive Bruce Blakeman to deliver results — cutting taxes, strengthening public safety, and fighting against Albany’s push for overdevelopment.
Why Samantha Is Running
Samantha Goetz is running to preserve the suburban character, safety, and affordability of Nassau County for the next generation.
As a mother of two young daughters, she understands the challenges families face — from rising costs to concerns about public safety and overcrowding. She’s determined to keep Nassau County a place where families can thrive, seniors can afford to stay, and children can grow up safe and strong.
Samantha’s Top Priorities
1. Protecting Our Suburbs and Stopping Overdevelopment
Samantha is fighting back against Gov. Hochul’s high-density housing mandates that threaten to overcrowd schools, strain infrastructure, and change the suburban character of our communities. She’s working with local officials to preserve local control over zoning and ensure development decisions remain in the hands of residents — not Albany bureaucrats.
2. Strengthening Public Safety
Samantha is committed to keeping our neighborhoods safe by hiring more police officers, expanding patrols, and ensuring faster emergency response times. She proudly supports our men and women in law enforcement.
3. Cutting Taxes and Fighting Wasteful Spending
Samantha knows how hard Long Islanders work for their money — and she’s determined to make government work just as hard for them. She helped stop tax hikes from the prior administration and freeze property taxes for 2026.
Moving forward, she’ll continue to protect taxpayers by cutting waste, balancing budgets, and delivering real relief to homeowners.
